 The Hawk Hunter longbow is available in four bow lengths 60", 62", 64" and 66" catering for draw lengths of up to 27" in the shortest bow and 30" in the longest 66" length. These bows are of moderate deflex reflex construction but have the all-out performance of Hybrid bows but from a conventional design. Long limbs and short riser enable the bow to have relatively short overall length yet draw smoothly and store energy well.

GL limb construction, unique to all Border longbows gives these, relatively long working limbs, a very low mass maximising the speed output from these bows.  The vertical stability the difficulty to move the nocking point up or down in line with the bow length is exceptionally high and a vital attribute to shooting accuracy.

The Hawk Hunter, designed as a hunting bow, fast, stable, light in the hand and smooth with exceptionally low hand shock. The negligible hand shock zero as described by many is again a result of low limb mass.

The Hawk Hunter comes as standard with a low longbow pistol grip but custom  grips to the archer's need can also be made to suit. Limbs are finished in carbon black but again custom finishes are available including camouflage and here again the colour choices are at the archers description. Real wood limb finish options are also available, Elm Yew  Indian Rosewood and Zebrano cover the range of choice.

To emphasis the performance levels from a standard specification Hawk. Mike and Janice Willrich, specialists in Flight shooting, took the very first Hawk Hunter longbows produced to the World Flight Championships in 2010 and the following gold medal and new World records wins added to the extensive medal and world records they also took with Border recurve bows.

50lbs Border Hawk:  NAA/FITA N/E 50lb American Longbow Flight class. Mike shooting: 384yds1ft4in in Silver Medal. Unfortunately weighed in @ 51lbs so had to take 1/2" off arrows by hand and reshape with tools available, This ruined the balance point, so I think I would have shot much further!!!
